IDA Ireland is a government agency committed to attracting new investment from overseas and to encouraging existing investors to expand and develop their businesses. They will help you every step of the way including, providing you with information on key business sectors and prime locations in the Cork region; assisting you with every aspect of your business setup, and introducing you to local service providers and research institutions.
Enterprise Ireland is the government agency responsible for the development and promotion of the indigenous business sector. It also provides assistance for international companies who are searching for world-class Irish suppliers. It helps Irish companies to identify markets abroad, research and develop new projects, enhance productivity and expand their businesses.
Cork Chamber of Commerce has a network of over 1,000 members. It is a leading voice on key economic development issues and represents the views of the Cork business community. The Chamber promotes its members’ enterprises to a highly targeted business audience by inclusion in directory, website and newsletter listings and by offering marketing, advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
Cork’s four local enterprise boards (City, South, West, North) – part of a nationwide network set up by the Government in 1993 – specialise in small-scale businesses of up to ten employees who are involved in manufacturing or in the internationally-traded services sector. The Cork City Enterprise Board and its equivalents in South Cork, West Cork and North Cork specialise in promoting the development of micro-enterprise, providing training, mentoring, a local skills register and financial support.
